Pride and joy is the BOSA Herd of Pedigree Hereford Cattle. We produce Herefords that meet the demands of commercial beef production. Bulls and females are often for sale; please contact us with your requirements.
The Bosa herd was established by Gerald Blandford in 1981, at its peak the Herd had 90 cows and was the winner of the National Herd of the year title in 2012. In June 2013 we sold a large portion of the herd to Jane Parker who has established the FirBosa Herd at Rectory Farm, Gloucestershire.
Our present 20 cow herd is still going strong winning best medium sized herd 2016 from the Hereford Cattle breeders association.
Our cattle are managed with commercial requirements in mind. We are committed to maintaining feminine, milky cows with high fertility, vital for batch calving in Spring and Autumn. We also believe in breeding Herefords free of waste, with dense muscling plus well developed hind quarters.
During the winter months the herd is housed in large airy buildings and fed hay, silage & potatoes, during the summer the herd graze the river meadows.
We produce bulls with commercial cattle meat in mind. Fit, sound, fertile, quiet with plenty of muscle and growth.
